There are probably going to be two posts today because since I didn’t post last week there is a lot of news! 

-More Arrested Development is coming to Netflix! Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos said that another season is a sure thing, “it’s just a matter of when.” Scheduling issues are a big part of the issue right now because they are trying to figure out all the actors’ schedules, which means more scenes with the whole family together! http://www.eonline.com/news/566980/more-arrested-development-is-coming-netflix-is-not-making-a-huge-mistake

-Eddie McClintock (Warehouse 13) has joined Fox’s new show Backstrom. He will play Lieutenant Sam D’Agostino, a neighborhood bully who grew up with Rainn Wilson’s Backstrom. -David Spade (Saturday Night Live, Rules of Engagement) will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of The Goldbergs as a shifty guy who works at an old school ’80s photo shop faking IDs for local teenagers. -Ana Gasteyer (Saturday Night Live) will also be guest-starring on an episode of the upcoming season of The Goldbergs. She will play Miss Cinoman, a drama teacher (based on creator Adam F. Goldberg’s real-life high school drama teacher) who will clash with Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey). -Natalie Zea (The Following) is set to star in ABC’s upcoming series Members Only about an upstairs/downstairs drama set at an exclusive Connecticut country club, centered on the club’s leisure-class members and the working-class employees. Zea will play the pedigreed, well-educated Mickey, the most together member of the club’s founding family. -Teen Nick (and YTV in Canada) has started production on a new family mystery series Open Heart. It’s about Dylan Blake, the rebellious daughter of a fractured family of doctors who uses her stint as a youth hospital volunteer to secretly investigate the mysterious disappearance of her father. Scream is coming to a TV near you! MTV has announced that Scream will be moving forward and will star Willa Fitzgerald (Alpha House, Royal Pains), Amy Forsyth (Reign), John Karna (The Neighbors), Carlson Young (Key and Peele), and Amadeus Serafini.http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/08/05/scream-tv-series/

-SyFy is developing a new series based on the highly acclaimed sci-fi series Old Man’s War. The project will be titled Ghost Brigades. Check the link for a description of the show. -Kate Burton (Scandal) will reprise her role as Dr. Ellis Grey on the upcoming season 11 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy. She is still dead but she will be back in flashbacks. -Ryan MacNicol (Ally McBeal, Numb3rs) has been added as a series regular on the upcoming series CSI:Cyber. -Season 3 of Nashville will air 2 groundbreaking music/TV firsts. The season premiere will feature two live performances from Will Lexington (“If It’s Love”) and Deacon Claybourne (“I Know How To Love You Now”) and they will actually be live. Fans on the east and central coasts will enjoy the first set and then for the west coast the Nashville stars will perform live for a second time.
