-Hilarie Burton (One Tree Hill) will guest star on ABC’s Forever. Burton will play Iona Payne, a dominatrix who becomes a murder suspect when one of her clients turns up dead, in the November 11 episode. -A modern day twist on Peter Pan, League of Pan, has landed at Fox with a script commitment plus penalty. It’s described as a “grounded, edgy, soapy thriller featuring updated versions of all favorite Neverland characters. It picks up the Lost Boys fifteen years after they left Neverland. -AwesomenessTV (based on the YouTube multi-channel network from DreamWorks Animation) has sold a live-action, half-hour comedy series based on the comic strip Richie Rich to Netflix. -HBO has signed the bulk of the current main cast of Game of Thrones through a seventh (and presumed final) season. -Hulu has announced a 10-episode straight-to-series order for Casual, a half-hour comedy series set to debut in 2015. -TBS has ordered a Key West-road-trip comedy pilot from Jason Jones and Samantha Bee (both Daily Show correspondents and real-life spouses). The show is based on the couple’s experiences with family trips, and centers on the adventures of a father (Jones), mother, and their two young kids who head out on the highway for a 24-hour journey to Key West. -Meagen Fay (Murder In The First) has been tapped for a recurring role opposite Hayley Atwell and Shea Whigham on ABC’s Marvel’s Agent Carter. Red Band Society, Scorpion, CSI:Cyber, Saturday Night Live and lots more!

I have a lot of stuff to go over since I was absent last week. This will be split up into two different blog posts. 

-TNT is set to team up with Mark Wahlberg for a drama series based on the 2007 conspiracy thriller Shooter. John Hlavin (Underworld: Awakening, The Shield) will write the series, now in development, and will executive produce with Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson. The story centers on a marksman, former U.S. Marine Scout Sniper Bob Lee Swagger (Wahlberg), who is coaxed back into action only to be framed for murder and goes on the run. -Mandy Moore (Saved, A Walk to Remember) has booked a big role on Fox’s new show Red Band Society. She will play Erin Grace, the chief of staff at Ocean Park Hospital who also is Dr. McAndrew’s ex-fiancee. -Shohreh Aghdashloo (House of Saddam, 24) has landed a guest starring role on CBS new drama Scorpion. She will play Dr. Cassandra Davis, a psychologist assigned to evaluate Walter and team following a chaotic and costly conclusion to one of their cases. -Luke Perry (90210) is set to join the newest CSI spinoff CSI:Cyber in a potentially recurring role. He will play Nick Dalton, a former FBI agent who was destined to run the cyber unit in Washington DC. After a classified falling out, Dalton set his sights on becoming a “futurist” for the private sector. Apparently Dalton will hold many secrets to Avery’s backstory. -Judd Apatow is working with Netflix to create a new relationship comedy TV series called Love, that already has a two season straight-to-series pickup. The show will star Paul Rust (I Love You, Beth Cooper) and Gillian Jacobs (Community) which follows Gus (Rust) and Mickey (Jacobs) as they navigate the exhilaration and humiliations of intimacy, commitment, and other things they were hoping to avoid. -NBC with the help of Scot Armstrong (Old School, The Hangover Part II), who is writing the show, is creating a TV series based on 1990 comedy Problem Child. The movies features John Ritter and Amy Yasbeck as a couple conned into adopting a troubled 7-year-old boy who wreaks havoc in their lives and leaves a path of destruction. Saturday Night Live has a new announcer. After Don Pardo’s death, they have asked Darrel Hammond to be the show’s new official announcer. SNL kicks off season 40 on September 27 with host Chris Pratt and Musical Guest Ariana Grande. Then on October 4 there is Sarah Silverman and Maroon 5. Arrested Development, Casting news, New shows, and more! (Post 1/2)

There are probably going to be two posts today because since I didn’t post last week there is a lot of news! 

-More Arrested Development is coming to Netflix! Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos said that another season is a sure thing, “it’s just a matter of when.” Scheduling issues are a big part of the issue right now because they are trying to figure out all the actors’ schedules, which means more scenes with the whole family together! http://www.eonline.com/news/566980/more-arrested-development-is-coming-netflix-is-not-making-a-huge-mistake

-Eddie McClintock (Warehouse 13) has joined Fox’s new show Backstrom. He will play Lieutenant Sam D’Agostino, a neighborhood bully who grew up with Rainn Wilson’s Backstrom. -Teen Nick (and YTV in Canada) has started production on a new family mystery series Open Heart. Scream is coming to a TV near you! -Season 3 of Nashville will air 2 groundbreaking music/TV firsts. Fans on the east and central coasts will enjoy the first set and then for the west coast the Nashville stars will perform live for a second time.
