Community could be saved by Hulu. Hulu is currently in talks with Sony Pictures TV for a sixth season of the show. The proposed plan would likely include a 13-episode new season. http://www.cnn.com/2014/05/29/showbiz/tv/community-hulu-ew/

-Chelsea Handler will be leaving her talk show, Chelsea Lately, on August 26. The finale will be a live hourlong episode. Chelsea has been very vocal about wanting to leave the show and the network behind but her contract did not end until the end of 2014. However, the network and her both came to an earlier decision. http://variety.com/2014/tv/news/chelsea-handler-to-leave-e-talk-show-in-late-august-1201195177/

-HBO has greenlit a new comedy series from Danny McBride called Vice Principals. The 18 episode straight-to-series order is expected to be split into multiple seasons. McBride will be starring in the series as well as Jody Hill. The show is about a “high school and people who almost run it: the vice principals, one of them played by McBride.” http://www.deadline.com/2014/05/hbo-greenlights-new-danny-mcbride-comedy-series-vice-principals/

-LeVar Burton has started a Kickstarter campaign in order to bring Reading Rainbow to the web. Less than 24 hrs after launching the campaign, he surpassed his goal. His goal is to create a new version of the show that is available to any child with access to the Internet. He also wants to establish a classroom version of the program and allow low-income schools the use of the material for free. http://popwatch.ew.com/2014/05/28/levar-burton-reading-rainbow-kickstarter/

The Arsenio Hall Show has been cancelled after only one season. Even though CBS renewed the show for a second season in February after securing a two-year deal, they have since ended that contract and production of the show has wrapped. http://www.deadline.com/2014/05/the-arsenio-hall-show-cancelled-after-one-season/

King of the Nerds has been renewed for a third season by TBS. It will be back for another round of eight episodes. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/king-nerds-renewed-third-season-708330

-Cartoon Network has greenlit The Amazing World of Gumball for two more seasons which will bring the total order to five seasons. The series is about an amusing blue cat named Gumball, and his best buddy Darwin, a pet goldfish, combines 2D and 3D animation in a live-action setting. Season 3 is slated to premiere this Thursday (June 5) on Cartoon Network. http://www.deadline.com/2014/06/cartoon-network-picks-up-two-more-seasons-of-the-amazing-world-of-gumball/
