-IFC has renewed The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret for a six-episode third season. Season 2 ended in early 2012 but the new season season will pick up right where the last season ended. Brooklyn Nine-Nine is introducing parents! Sandra Bernhard (Switched at Birth, Roseanne) will debut as Gina’s “eccentric” and “offbeat” mother, Darlene Linetti in the November 9 episode. -Brian Dennehy (Death of a Salesman, Presumed Innocent) and Neal McDonough (Desperate Housewives, Boomtown) have both booked major recurring roles on TNT’s Public Morals. The show is set in 1967 in New York City’s Public Morals Division, where cops walk the line between morality and criminality as the temptations that come from dealing with all kinds of vice that can get the better of them. Dennehy will play Joseph “Big Red” Patton, a powerful mobster who controls the west side of Manhattan. -Showtime has decided to go straight to series with In The Heat of the Night. The show is described as an exploration of character and race set in modern-day Mississippi. It is also based off the 1988 movie of the same name, which starred Carroll O’Connor and Howard E. -Amazon has renewed Transparent for a second season after becoming a number one hit on Amazon Prime Instant Video since its launch two weeks ago. The show  is about a transgendered parent, Maura formerly Mort (Jeffrey Tambor), who comes out to the LA family’s adult kids. The second season is slated to hit Amazon in 2015. The Flash, CW’s new superhero TV series, has cast Victor Garber (Alias) as Dr. Martin Stein, a brilliant but arrogant nuclear physicist who has sacrificed everything, including a marriage, for his work in transmutation. After he discovers the particle accelerator fused him with the younger, more impulsive Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), he races to find a way to separate the two before it’s too late. -Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars) will join Suits in a guest-starring role as Mike’s ex-flame. She will only appear in flashbacks to Mike’s past as a bike messenger. -Andy Mientus (Smash) has joined The Flash as hearing impaired (and openly gay) DC Comics villian Pied Piper, aka Hartley Hathaway. One of DC’s original rogues, Hartley is a bona fide genius who used to work at S.T.A.R. Labs until a falling out with his mentor, Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). The particle accelerator robbed Hartley of his hearing, but inspired him to create a series of sonic weapons that he uses in an effort to punish Wells by destroying his new protege: The Flash. Amazon shows, Nurse Jackie, new reality shows, and The Voice!

-Amazon has renewed Alpha House for a second season. They have also cancelled Betas and given 6 different pilots series orders. -Michael Chiklis joins the cast of American Horror Story: Freak Show. Chiklis will be playing Evan Peters’ character’s father and Kathy Bates’ ex-husband. Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Basset, and Frances Conroy will all be returning for the fourth season. The new season will be set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950 and feature Jessica Lange as a German ex-pat managing on of the last freak shows in the U.S. http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/03/28/chiklis-ahs-freak-show/

-Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino (from the hit show Jersey Shore) will be in a new reality show called The Sorrentinos which will air on the TV Guide Network. The show will focus less on partying and more on “The Situation” spending time with his New Jersey family. No premiere date has been set yet. -Nicole Richie’s new show #CandidlyNicole has gotten a series order from VH1 for eight episodes that is supposed to premiere July 17. The show will be based on Richie’s popular AOL online series which was in turn based on Richie’s irreverent Twitter feed. -Showtime has renewed Nurse Jackie for a seventh season. Production is supposed to begin later this year in New York. Peter Facinelli (Dr. Fitch Cooper), however, is not returning for the new season. -Comedy Central is developing an animated series based off the hit TV show Key & Peele. The fourth season of the show will consist of 22 episodes and premiere in the fall of 2014. -Amazon is set to premiere 4 series from the 10 pilots they looked at. The four series will be Bosch (drama), The After (drama), Mozart in the Jungle (comedy), Transparent (comedy).  They are still looking at 5 series that are in the kids genre. Since the series just got picked up, no word on when they will be airing or anything. -Tyler Blackburn will be returning to Pretty Little Liars in season 5 as a series regular since the spin-off series Ravenswood was cancelled after just 10 episodes. He plays Caleb Rivers on PLL.
