-Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) has landed a recurring role on the reboot of The Odd Couple. She will play Dani, assistant to Matthew Perry’s Oscar. She has replaced Sarah Baker, who was let go shortly after the show was ordered to series. This does not mean that she is leaving Community‘s sixth season reboot on Yahoo Screen and is expected to return to the show in some capacity. Since they have different shooting schedules, she could conceivably do both. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has added Henry Simmons (NYPD Blue) in a recurring role as agent Alphonso “Mac” Mackenzie, a mechanic in his early 30s. -James Marsden (X-Men, Anchorman) has joined HBO’s drama pilot Westworld as a series regular. He will play Teddy Flood, a mysterious new arrival to the small frontier town who quickly proves both his charm — an his talent with a revolver. -William Mapother (Lost) has gotten a small role (and possibly recurring) as Tyler Waters, an engaging, messianic tech visionary who presents a genuine alternative to the government, and a provocative vision of the future in Lifetime’s new series The Lottery which airs Sundays at 10/9c. http://tvline.com/2014/08/09/the-lottery-cast-william-mapother/

-Michael C. Hall (Six Feet Under, Dexter) is returning to TV in Stanley Kubrick’s unproduced drama God Fearing Man. It will be produced as a miniseries, with eOne shopping it to networks. -Starz has picked up 10 episodes of the drama created by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, The One Percent starring Ed Helms, Hilary Swank, and Ed Harris. It is set in the world of organic farming. Helms will play “Alfred Murphy, a member of a dysfunctional family struggling to keep their farm from financial ruin, until a bizarre twist of fate changes their lives forever. -Danny Masterson (That ’70s Show) will have a guest starring role on USA’s series Royal Pains in which he will play the brother of returning guest Kyle Howard (My Boys). Kyle Howard first appeared on season 3 as Dr. Paul Van Dyke but left to start his own concierge practice in Miami. Paul will come back fro the season 6 finale as a patient of HankMed’s. Masterson will play Paul’s brother, Danny Van Dyke, a wealthy hedge fund manager who needs a kidney transplant but is reluctant to accept his brother’s organ. -Jacob Pitts (Justified) will guest-star in an upcoming episode of Elementary, as Paul Ettinger, a brilliant and wealthy mathematician who assembles a team of his fellow math geniuses to help identify a killer that Holmes and Watson are tracking. David Letterman retiring, Girl Meets World, Narcos, HBO premiere dates and more!

SERIES FINALES, April 3 2014:

Astronaut Wives Club was supposed to have a July 24 premiere but production has now been put on hold. Hopefully there is a fall production start for a midseason 2014-2015 premiere. -Fox is now going to air Rake’s last two episodes on Saturday April 5, instead of Fridays (which they were bumped to last month.) No word yet on the future of the show, but it’s not looking good.

-BBC has already renewed its upcoming series The Muskateers for a second season even though the first season doesn’t begin until June 22 9/8c.

-Netflix has given a 10-episode order to an new original series, Narcos. It’s a drama about druglord Pablo Escobar and the Medellin Cartel. It is supposed to debut in 2015.

-Michael Strahan (currently co-hosting Live with Kelly & Michael) is reported to be joining Good Morning America after Josh Elliot’s leave earlier this week and Amy Robach taking over that position.
