-Rosie O’Donnell will be returning to The Fosters. She will reprise her role as Rita Hendricks and will appear in two episodes this fall. The Fosters return June 16 at 9 pm on ABC Family for a second season. -Jay Ellis will be added to the cast of Showtime’s Masters of Sex during season 2. He will play Dr. Cyril Franklin, another M.D., who shares an office space with Michael Sheen’s Dr. William Masters. -Gwen Stefani is joining The Voice as a new coach. She will join Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton as coaches. -Syfy has picked up adventure series Killjoys, which will premiere in 2015 and will consist of 10 episodes.. -Crackle has unveiled three new series. It has also renewed Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee for 24 more episodes, which will take it through season 9 (including season 5 & 6 that were renewed earlier).   • Sequestered: A 12-episode series about a jury that’s sequestered in a hotel while deliberating a court case with massive implications.
  • The Throwaways (feature film): A suspenseful thriller about a notorious hacker captured y the CIA who is given a proposition to work for them or spend the rest of his life in prison.

-Naya Rivera is reportedly cut from Glee and will be written out of the season 5 finale and ultimately season 6 (which is the last season). -FXX has renewed It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia for two more seasons (Season 11 and 12) even though season 10 has yet to air. Homeland has decided to begin production of their fourth season in Cape Town, south Africa. The new season will find Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) assigned to one of the most volatile and dangerous CIA stations in the Middle East where is back on the front lines in the war on terror. Production begins in mid-june and will shoot through November of this year. Suits has added DB Woodside and Brendan Hines for “major” season 4 arcs. Woodside will play Jeff Malone, a former SEC prosecutor who is a financial expert with a personal stake in Pearson Specter. Hines will play Logan Sandler, the son of a millionaire entrepreneur and isn’t used to hearing the word “no.” No word on the premiere date for season 4 since the third season is going on still. Suits airs Thursdays at 9/8c on USA.

Defiance premiere, Sharknado 2, Helix renewed, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland cancelled.

SEASON FINALES, March 28 2014:

  • Helix (season 1 finale, 10 pm, Syfy)

-Syfy has announced that the second season of Defiance will premiere Thursday June 19, 8 pm ET. Dominion will premiere right after 9 pm. Syfy has also created a miniseries called Defiance: The Lost Ones which will help bridge the gap between season 1 and season 2. There are 5 installments in the series, with each episode being between 3-5 minutes long. -Brian Baumgartner is guest-starring on The Bridge during the upcoming season 2. He will play Gary, a recovering alcoholic who is the AA sponsor of Daniel Frye. -ABC has officially cancelled Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. It will end after the April 3 season ender.
