-Damian Lewis is set to star in a new drama series pilot with Paul Giamatti on Showtime. The duo will star in Billions, which explores the world of high finance by following “the approaching collision between two titanic figures — the hard charging, whip-smart U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhodes (Giamatti), the brilliant, ambitious hedge fund king, Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis).” The show will be filmed in New York in early 2015. http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/10/24/damian-lewis-showtime/

-Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) will star in Syfy’s miniseries Childhood’s End, based on the sci-fi classic by Arthur C. Clarke. The six-hour miniseries follows a breed of aliens called the “Overlords,” who manage to peacefully invade and rule Earth, and create a pseudo-utopia that comes at the price of human identity and culture. -Debra Mooney (Everwood) will have a recurring role on The Originals second season as Mary, a “tough, no-nonsense” werewolf who will do quite literally anything to ensure the safety of her pack. -Bess Armstrong (My So-Called Life) has a major recurring role on season four of Switched at Birth. She will play Daphne’s formidable pre-med professor. -Billy Burke will reprise his role as Phillip Stroh in a wintertime two-parter on TNT’s The Closer. Burke last portrayed the legal lizard/ serial rapist/ murderer in The Closer’s August 2012 series finale, and will come back for the final two episodes of Season 3 (airing January 12 and 19). -Malese Jow (The Vampire Diaries, Star-Crossed) will have a recurring role on The Flash, as Linda Park, a quick-witted reporter for the Central City Picture News. She befriends Iris (Candice Patton) while at work and helps her navigate the fast-paced world of journalism. When she meets Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) at a local bar, the two hit it off. -Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) is set to host a variety show on NBC, based of the long-running U.K. variety show format of Saturday Night Takeaway. -Kelli Garner (Pan Am, My Generation) is set to star in the title role in Lifetime’s Marilyn. The miniseries is based on J. -The CW is launching a four-part digital series titled The Originals: The Awakening, which will focus on Kol’s (from the show) story. The story will take place in 1914, when Kol was attempting to form an alliance with the witches of the French Quarter. The web series will star Nathaniel Buzolic as Kol, who’s currently being played by Daniel Sharman on the show. -Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) has landed a recurring role on the reboot of The Odd Couple. She will play Dani, assistant to Matthew Perry’s Oscar. She has replaced Sarah Baker, who was let go shortly after the show was ordered to series. This does not mean that she is leaving Community‘s sixth season reboot on Yahoo Screen and is expected to return to the show in some capacity. Since they have different shooting schedules, she could conceivably do both. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has added Henry Simmons (NYPD Blue) in a recurring role as agent Alphonso “Mac” Mackenzie, a mechanic in his early 30s. -James Marsden (X-Men, Anchorman) has joined HBO’s drama pilot Westworld as a series regular. -Michael C. Hall (Six Feet Under, Dexter) is returning to TV in Stanley Kubrick’s unproduced drama God Fearing Man. It will be produced as a miniseries, with eOne shopping it to networks. -Starz has picked up 10 episodes of the drama created by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, The One Percent starring Ed Helms, Hilary Swank, and Ed Harris. It is set in the world of organic farming. -Danny Masterson (That ’70s Show) will have a guest starring role on USA’s series Royal Pains in which he will play the brother of returning guest Kyle Howard (My Boys). Kyle Howard first appeared on season 3 as Dr. Paul Van Dyke but left to start his own concierge practice in Miami. Paul will come back fro the season 6 finale as a patient of HankMed’s. Masterson will play Paul’s brother, Danny Van Dyke, a wealthy hedge fund manager who needs a kidney transplant but is reluctant to accept his brother’s organ.
