Aquarius, Nashville Tour, The Killing, and more

SEASON FINALE– Tuesday, April 1, 2014 (

  • Twisted (Season 1 finale, 9 pm, ABC Family)

-Joel McKinnon Miller and Dirk Blocker (Detective Sully and Detective Hitchcock, respectively) on the hit new show Brooklyn Nine-Nine have been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming season 2.

-NBC has given a 13-episode straight-to-series order to Aquarius, a new drama about a police detective (played by David Duchovny) on the trail of the Los Angeles-area hippie cult leader who turns out to be Charles Manson.

-The stars of the show Nashville are going on tour. Charles Esten (Deacon), Clare Bowen (Scarlett), Jonathan Jackson (Avery), Sam Palladio (Gunnar), and Chris Carmack (Will) (as well as Will Chase (Luke) for NYC date) will be going on  a three date tour in April and May. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 4 at 10 am. Nashville airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on ABC.

  • May 6– Best Buy Theater, New York, NY

-Michael Socha (Will Scarlet/ The Knave of Hearts from the recently cancelled Once Upon a Time in Wonderland) is set to join Once Upon a Time as a series regular next season (if the show gets renewed).Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8/7c on ABC.

-Frances Fisher has been cast as the estranged mom of Linden in The Killing for the fourth and final 6-episode season airing on Netflix. She is set to appear in multiple episodes.

-Spike TV has renewed Ink Master for a fifth season. It ordered 16 one-hour episodes for a fall debut. Ink Master airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on Spike TV.

-Fox’s Gotham has cast the role of The Riddler. Cory Michael Smith will play Edward Nygma (the future Riddler) where he is called a guest star in the pilot but could be promoted to a series regular.



Defiance premiere, Sharknado 2, Helix renewed, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland cancelled.

SEASON FINALES, March 28 2014:

  • Helix (season 1 finale, 10 pm, Syfy)

-Syfy has announced that the second season of Defiance will premiere Thursday June 19, 8 pm ET. Dominion will premiere right after 9 pm. Syfy has also created a miniseries called Defiance: The Lost Ones which will help bridge the gap between season 1 and season 2. There are 5 installments in the series, with each episode being between 3-5 minutes long. The first installment of the series is in the link below.

-Brian Baumgartner is guest-starring on The Bridge during the upcoming season 2. He will play Gary, a recovering alcoholic who is the AA sponsor of Daniel Frye. He has only signed on for one episode, but will possibly be a recurring character. He will also be playing a killer on Criminal Minds in the upcoming episode “Fatal.”

Sharknado 2: The Second One. will premiere July 30 at 9/8c on Syfy (one day earlier than previously announced). The poster for the epic sequel has also been released.


-Syfy has also renewed Helix for a second season. It will consist of 13 episodes and will hopefully have a winter 2015 premiere. The season finale is tonight.

-ABC has officially cancelled Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. It will end after the April 3 season ender. The spinoff was intended as a miniseries to bridge the gap between seasons of the flagship series but ABC decided to air it during the fall. Shark Tank will take over the Thursday at 8 pm slot for a week before repeats of Grey’s Anatomy will move into the slot.
