-Hilarie Burton (One Tree Hill) will guest star on ABC’s Forever. Burton will play Iona Payne, a dominatrix who becomes a murder suspect when one of her clients turns up dead, in the November 11 episode. -A modern day twist on Peter Pan, League of Pan, has landed at Fox with a script commitment plus penalty. It’s described as a “grounded, edgy, soapy thriller featuring updated versions of all favorite Neverland characters. It picks up the Lost Boys fifteen years after they left Neverland. -AwesomenessTV (based on the YouTube multi-channel network from DreamWorks Animation) has sold a live-action, half-hour comedy series based on the comic strip Richie Rich to Netflix. -HBO has signed the bulk of the current main cast of Game of Thrones through a seventh (and presumed final) season. -Hulu has announced a 10-episode straight-to-series order for Casual, a half-hour comedy series set to debut in 2015. -An untitled comedy from writer Colleen McGuinness (30 Rock) and executive produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, has been given a script commitment plus penalty from Fox. -TBS has ordered a Key West-road-trip comedy pilot from Jason Jones and Samantha Bee (both Daily Show correspondents and real-life spouses). The show is based on the couple’s experiences with family trips, and centers on the adventures of a father (Jones), mother, and their two young kids who head out on the highway for a 24-hour journey to Key West. -Meagen Fay (Murder In The First) has been tapped for a recurring role opposite Hayley Atwell and Shea Whigham on ABC’s Marvel’s Agent Carter. She will play the woman who runs the boarding house where Agent Carter (Atwell) lives in NYC. -Hayley Kiyoko (The Fosters) has been cast as a series regular in CBS’s midseason drama CSI:Cyber. Kiyoko will play Raven, a rookie tech working in the Division. Game of Thrones, Bates Motel, new Bravo shows, Doctor Who, and more!

TONIGHT ON TV April 8, 2014:

  • Justified (Season 5 finale, 10 pm, FX)

-HBO has renewed Game of Thrones for a fifth and sixth season one day after the fourth season premiere brought in a record breaking 6.6 million viewers which has only been topped by the series finale of The Sopranos in 2007. -A Battlestar Galactica movie is in the work. -Amy Jo Johnson will have a recurring role on the USA Network series Covert Affairs during the upcoming season 5. She will play Hayley, a National Counter Terrorism Center investigator who knows how to stand her ground and will go head-to head with Auggie (Christopher Gorham) when the intelligence community faces a united threat. -Enver Gjokaj will join Rizzoli & Isles for a multi-episode arc. -A&E has picked up Bates Motel for a third season after an impressive start of season 2. The third season will consist of 10 episodes and will begin production this fall. -NBC has ordered a six-episode series called Epic Funnies (tentative title). It will an hour-long variety clip show very similar to its competitor America’s Funniest Home Videos. White Collar, The Comeback, more Game of Thrones, and more!

-USA has renewed White Collar for a six-episode 6th season and many in the TV news industry are saying that it will be its last season. They are usually right so,  I would start the grieving process now. I’ll let you know when the official word comes in that it will be the last season. The first 4 seasons are on Netflix. -HBO is apparently planning on bring back the cult comedy The Comeback which stars Lisa Kudrow. It was only on for a season in 2005 but got nominated for three Emmy awards and HBO is doing an “Arrested Development” type deal and bringing it back now that it has a cult following. -ABC is launching another show to its Bachelor franchise which will air this summer. It’s called Bachelor in Paradise. It will be like Bachelor Pad but in a more tropical setting. -Showtime’s Master of Sex has cast Danny Huston (American Horror Story, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) has a key role for season 2. He will play Dr. Douglas Greathouse, the privileged head of a hospital’s Obstetrics Department. -David Benioff and Dan Weiss, the creators, writers, producers, directors, of the massively popular Game of Thrones on HBO have signed on for two more seasons of the show. The producers told EW that they suspect Game of Thrones will conclude after seven seasons. -Patton Oswalt is coming to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. He will appear in an upcoming episode as Agent Eric Koenig, who is part of Nick Fury’s team of WWII soldiers (at least in the original Marvel comics).
