-Courtney Love will be joining the cast of Fox’s midseason drama Empire in a recurring guest star role. She will play Elle Dallas, “a hard rock powerhouse, who is part of Empire Entertainment’s stable of artists.” http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/10/23/courtney-love-drama/

-James Corden will take over The Late Late Show on CBS on March 9, 2015 but apparently a rotating roster of guest hosts will take over the show until then. -Cody Simpson (Australian pop star, teen idol) is joining the cast of Cougar Town for its sixth and final season airing in early 2015, for one episode. -Netflix has greenlighted F is For Family, a six-episode animated series based on the comedy of Bill Burr. The family comedy will debut in 2015. The show follows the Murphy family in the 1970s–“a time when you could smack your kid, smoke inside, and bring a gun to the airport.” Burr will voice Frank Murphy, the family’s extreme patriarch; Laura Dern will voice Frank’s wife, Sue, and Justin Long will voice the family’s oldest son, Kevin. http://deadline.com/2014/10/bill-burr-animated-series-vince-vaughn-netflix-857571/

Gotham has cast Morena Baccarin as Dr. Leslie Tompkins, “a gifted and dedicated physician who was a friend of Thomas and Martha Wayne. She is determined to use her skills to aid Gotham’s most in need, which currently means working at the newly opened Arkham Asylum’s House for the Criminally Insane.” The character is from the original comics. -Showtime has found a replacement for Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Happyish, Steve Coogan will now play Thom Payne. It will now go back to the pilot stage and production will begin in New York. -Amanda Righetti (The Mentalist) has been cast opposite Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies in Colony, USA Network’s family drama/thriller pilot about life in Los Angeles after a mysterious “foreign” occupation. Bates Motel has cast Kevin Rahm (Mad Men) for a recurring role during season 3. He will play Bob Paris, the wealthy, self-involved and gregarious owner of an elite hunting club who grew up with Sheriff Alex Romero (Nestor Carbonell). -The Bewitched follow up series has landed at NBC with a pilot production commitment. The new version is a reimagining of the original series two generation later. It centers on Daphne–Samantha’s granddaughter and Tabitha’s daughter– a single twenty-something witch who has always used her magical powers to conjure herself the perfect life. -Patricia Richardson (Home Improvement) has booked a guest-starring role on Last Man Standing. She will play Helen Potts, a recently divorced neighbor of Mike’s (Allen) who has gotten into a bit of conflict with Mike’s frenemy, Chuck (Jonathan Adams). Last Man Standing returns with a one-hour season premiere on Friday, October 3 at 8pm on ABC. http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/09/26/last-man-standing-patricia-richardson-home-improvement/

-Christian Camargo (Haven, Dexter) is set to guest star on Elementary as a past (and possibly future) love of Joan Watson (Lucy Liu). His character, Chris, is Joan’s former medical colleague as well as her ex-boyfriend and he reaches out to her for help with a problem–but during the course of their association, old feelings get stirred up. -Naomi Campbell has joined Fox’s new show Empire as Camilla, an alluring woman involved in a steamy affair with the much-young Hakeem (newcomer Bryshere Gray), the potential heir to Lucious’ throne. The drama is set in the world of a hip-hop empire and stars Taraji P. Henson as Cookie Lyon, the ex-wife of Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), the head of a record label at the center of the series. Hey, I’m so sorry I didn’t update yesterday and so late tonight. I had finals yesterday and today and then I was busy earlier. But, now I’m on summer break and so I have much more time! This is going to be a really long post.
