-Dianne Sawyer is stepping down as ABC World News anchor. David Muir will become the new anchor starting September 2. -AMC has already ordered a second season of Breaking Bad’s highly anticipated spin-off Better Call Saul. Season 1 of the show is not even airing it’s 10 episodes until early 2015 (which was pushed back from November). The second season is scheduled to consist of 13 episodes and air in early 2016. -Gordon Ramsay has announced the end of Kitchen Nightmares. After filming wraps in Spain on the current Channel 4 series Costa Del Nightmares, the show will be done. -Fox has set an event series based on the Boston Marathon bombings. Rod Lurie is signed on to write and direct. The untitled project will be based on the best-selling book Long Mile Home by Boston Globe reporters Scott Helman and Jenna Russell. I don’t like to put my judgement about TV shows on here but since I am from outside of Boston, go to college in Boston, and know people who were at the finish line last year, I don’t think they should do this but that’s just me.  http://www.deadline.com/2014/05/rod-lurie-fox-boston-marathon/

-Michael McKean is set to co-star in the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul. He will joing Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks (both from Breaking Bad. respectively Saul and his trusted PI Michael “Mike” Ehrmantraut). McKean will play a new character, Dr. Thurber, a brilliant attorney who is now restricted by an unusual affliction. -Kristin Chenoweth has joined the Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants as Maleficient. The movie is a live-action adventure comedy about the teenage progeny of Disney’s most iconic villains from films such as 101 Dalmations, Aladdin, and more. -Adult Swim has renewed Children’s Hospital for a sixth season. Filming for the new season begins this summer, planned for it to air in 2015.
