-Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous, Gone Girl) has landed the the lead role in Cinemax’s new exorcism drama Outcast, based off Robert Kirkman’s comic series of the same name out this summer. Other cast members include Philip Glenister (Life on Mars) and Gabriel Bateman (Stalker, Annabelle). Fugit will star as Kyle Barnes, a young man who’s been plagued by possession since he was a child. He sets out to seek answers, only to uncover something that could end all life on Earth as we know it. Glenister will play Reverend Anderson and Bateman has been cast as 8-year-old Joshua Austin. -ABC has announced the premiere dates for Galavant and Marvel’s Agent Carter. Galavant premieres Sunday, January 4 at 8pm ET, while Marvel’s Agent Carter premieres Tuesday, January 6 at 9pm ET. Justified has cast Jeff Fahey (Lost, Under the Dome) in a multi-episode arc. -DirectTV has ordered to series a drama starring Adam Brody (The O.C.) and Lisa Joyce (A Master Builder) about step-siblings who fall in love. -Netflix is adapting Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events into a live-action series. -Geoff Stults (Enlisted) is set to co-write a multi-camera comedy for CBS, as well as possibly star in it himself. The untitled comedy centers on Martin “Marty” Booker, who is a firefighter, average Joe, ladies man and three-time firehouse Beer Pong Olympics champion who had no real ambition in life. -Rosie O’Donnell is set to guest star on additional episodes of ABC Family’s The Fosters. They have announced that they will not produce any more episodes beyond their initial orders of 13 episodes each. Bad Judge has shot 10 episodes; A to Z has shot 11. Twin Peaks, Dallas, and Hollywood Game Night

-Showtime is bringing back Twin Peaks for a new limited series run. Series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost are on board to write and produce all nine episodes of the limited series, while David Lynch will also direct every episode. -Hugh Laurie (House M.D.) and Tom Hiddleston (Thor) are set to star in a limited-series adaptation of John le Carre’s 1993 espionage thriller, The Night Manager. BBC will air it in the U.K. and for now, no U.S. network has attached to the series yet but I would not be surprised if it happened soon. The Night Manager centers on Jonathan Pine, a former British soldier turned night auditor for a luxury hotel. Pine meets a French-Arab woman named Sophie, who gives him information on Richard Onslow Roper, a black market dealer who specializes in weapons, to turn over to British intelligence. Sophie’s betrayal to Roper gets her killed, and Pine becomes a spy with intelligence operatives in order to infiltrate Roper’s ring and avenge Sophie’s death. -Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has landed a guest-starring role on MTV’s Faking It. He will play Jackson Lee, a professional artist and Hester High alum who interviews art students for a prestigious fellowship.
