Anthem, Limitless, and Little Women!

-ABC is set to develop an event/limited series of a modern take on Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women. The story follows the lives of four sisters coming of age against the backdrop of a military scandal as their family loses their fortune and position finding themselves at odds with the conservative and traditional society in which they live.

Marvel’s Agent Carter has cast Bridget Regan (Jane the Virgin) as Peggy’s neighbor Dottie, a small-town girl from Iowa who’ll have a huge impact on the life of the titular heroine. The eight-episode Marvel’ Agent Carter will debut Tuesday, January 6 at 9/8c, occupying Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s time slot during the winter hiatus.

-PBS has announced a second-season pickup for ITV’s sitcom Vicious, starring Ian McKellan and Derek Jacobi. They will debut the six-episode season in the summer as part of a lineup of British programming.

-A Limitless TV sequel is in the works at CBS. The 2001 movie thriller starring Bradley Cooper will pick up right where the movie left off and follow Brian Sinclair as he discovers the power of the mysterious drug NZT, and is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities for good.

-Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct) will play America’s first female vice president, Natalie Maccabee in TNT’s newly greenlit action-drama Agent X. Agent X is played by Jeff Hephner (Chicago Fire). The series is slated to launch in the second half of 2015 with 10 episodes.

-NBC has recast Uma Thurman in Mary-Louise Parker’s role on the upcoming miniseries The Slap. The eight-hour miniseries is about how one man’s punishment of another couple’s child explodes into a complex family drama.

-Fox has canceled Utopia, two months into what was supposed to be a 12-month, 24/7 chronicle of the efforts of a group of stranger to create a new society while living in isolation on a ranch in California.

-Jay Leno is set to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as a guest on Friday, November 7.

-Syfy is set to adapt Arthur C. Clarke’s novel 3001: The Final Odyssey into a miniseries. The project will bring the never-before-produced final chapter of the legendary sci-fi book and film 2001: A Space Odyssey to basic cable.

-Julia Stiles (Dexter, 10 Things I Hate About You) has landed a guest arc on The Mindy Project. She will play a friend of Danny’s (Chris Messina) who is a recovering hoarder. She will also be a love interest for Morgan (Ike Barinholtz).

Gotham is set to add another iconic villain. The show revealed they will add the Scarecrow this season. The villain will be seen as a child, before he takes on the Scarecrow name. “In fact, it’s something that will be passed on to him from his father, which will create an eventual enemy for Batman while still having a possible adversary for Jim Gordon,” says director Danny Cannon.

-Christa B. Allen (Revenge) is set to recur on season 4 of ABC Family’s Baby Daddy. She will play Robyn, a funny, smart, athletic, corporate attorney who works at the law firm with Riley. When Riley begrudgingly sets Robyn up with best friend Danny, they immediately hit it off. Her episodes will air in early 2015.

-NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice is set to debut on Sunday, January 4 from 9-11pm before moving to Mondays from 8-10pm. The celebrities cast was also revealed and will be in the link.

-Showtime is developing a new series that chronicles a modern-day U.S. civil war. Anthem is “a series about an unraveling: about what happens when our political system collapses under the weight of mistrust and partisan division. The pilot begins on a typical presidential election day. When it ends, America is on the brink of a second civil war.”

-Season 3 of Banshee will return on Friday, January 9 at 10pm on Cinemax.

Hart of Dixie will return for a 10-episode fourth season on Friday, January 9 at 8/7c on The CW.

– Lifetime’s Witches of East End has been canceled after just two seasons.

-Minnie Driver has joined the cast of NBC’s upcoming Peter Pan Live! musical special. She will serve as the narrator and play adult Wendy Darling. The musical special airs Thursday, December 4 at 8pm on NBC.

Masters of Sex, Glee, Girl Meets World, Gotham, Criminal Minds, and an April Fools Prank.

Private Practice star Caterina Scorsone will reprise her role as Amelia Shepard on Grey’s Anatomy. The first episode is supposed to air at the beginning of May and she will be a part of the rest of season 10. If you’d like to catch up on all the drama then the first 9 season of Grey’s Anatomy are on Netflix as well as all 6 seasons of Private Practice! Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 9/8c on ABC.

-Betsy Brandt is joining season 2 of Masters of Sex. She will be playing Barbara, Bill’s fifth secretary of the series. The second season begins production this spring for a fall premiere on Showtime.

-Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel) is set to pen an upcoming episode of FOX’s Glee. He has already met with the show’s writing staff and put out some ideas but they are keeping the storyline for the episode under wraps for now. Glee airs Tuesdays 8/7c on FOX.

-ABC Family has renewed Melissa & Joey and Baby Daddy for fourth seasons. And it has also ordered three drama pilots. They are Alice in ArabiaRecovery Road, and Unstrung. The three descriptions of the shows are in the link.

-A new photo has been released from Disney Channel for their new show Girl Meets World and apparently Cory’s Parents and Shawn will be in a holiday episode! No word on the official premiere date but it will premiere sometime this year. I’ll let you know when there is a set date.


-FOX has officially begun shooting Gotham in New York City and there are some pictures from the set. Ben McKenzie (first photo) will be playing a young Detective Jim Gordon. While Robin Lord Taylor is playing Oswald Cobbleport, aka the Penguin, in the show. The new show is set to air for the 2014-2015 season.

-Drew Carey and Craig Ferguson will be switching host jobs on April Fools Day as a little prank. Drew Carey will be hosting the Late Late Show on CBS which airs at 12:37 am ET/PT and Ferguson will be hosting The Price is Right which airs on CBS at 11 am ET/10 am PT.

-Brian Baumgartner (best known for his role as Kevin Malone on the hit series The Office) will take a on a killer guest role on Criminal Minds. He will be in the upcoming episode “Fatal” which airs April 16. He is supposed to play a man who at an unexpected crossroads in his life goes on a killing spree. Criminal Minds airs Wednesdays on CBS at 9/8c.
