Amazon Pilot season, Marco Polo, The Blacklist, Full House, and so much more!

-Netflix has announced that its new original series Marco Polo will have a December 12 premiere date for all 10 episodes. The series is a historical saga which focuses on Polo’s sojourn into 13th-century China, then ruled by Kublai Khan. -Amazon has debuted their third pilot season, where the consumer can screen and then vote on a total of five new projects that are happening. The pilots are now online through Amazon Instant Video. -Netflix has acquired the streaming rights for The Blacklist at $2 million per episode. Season 1 of the NBC show is expected to debut September 7th on the site. http://deadline.com/2014/08/the-blacklist-netflix-deal-2-million-825836/

-Warner Bros. TV is eyeing a possible revival of the hit show Full House. The show may return with some of the original cast intact, including John Stamos, who is actively working to get the show back on the air. The show’s creator Jeff Franklin would pen the revival, with cast members Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber each playing a role in the project. Bob Saget and Dave Coulier would also be involved, though it’s unclear in what capacity. -Steve Zahn (Treme, Mind Games, Joy Ride) has joined Modern Family for its sixth season in a key role as the Dunphy’s horrible new neighbor. He will play “Ronnie,” the husband of an annoying family that moves in next door to the Dunphys. It is described as a recurring guest-star role. -Niecy Nash (Reno 911!, Getting On) has joined The Mindy Project as Mindy Lahiri’s nemesis who also happens to be a lesbian. Nash will play a recurring character Dr. Jean Fishman, who is the new cheif of Shulman & Associates’ admitting hospital. She is described as a tough physician from Boston who is a take-no-prisoners type and puts up with no nonsense whatsoever. -Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live) has joined Parks and Recreation for at least one episode (possibly more) during its final season. She will play the nanny to Leslie and Ben’s triplets. Amazon shows, Nurse Jackie, new reality shows, and The Voice!

SEASON FINALES, March 31 2014:

-Amazon has renewed Alpha House for a second season. They have also cancelled Betas and given 6 different pilots series orders. -Michael Chiklis joins the cast of American Horror Story: Freak Show. Chiklis will be playing Evan Peters’ character’s father and Kathy Bates’ ex-husband. Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Basset, and Frances Conroy will all be returning for the fourth season. The new season will be set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950 and feature Jessica Lange as a German ex-pat managing on of the last freak shows in the U.S. http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/03/28/chiklis-ahs-freak-show/

-Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino (from the hit show Jersey Shore) will be in a new reality show called The Sorrentinos which will air on the TV Guide Network. The show will focus less on partying and more on “The Situation” spending time with his New Jersey family. No premiere date has been set yet. -Nicole Richie’s new show #CandidlyNicole has gotten a series order from VH1 for eight episodes that is supposed to premiere July 17. The show will be based on Richie’s popular AOL online series which was in turn based on Richie’s irreverent Twitter feed. -Showtime has renewed Nurse Jackie for a seventh season. Production is supposed to begin later this year in New York. Peter Facinelli (Dr. Fitch Cooper), however, is not returning for the new season. SEASON FINALES TONIGHT March 25, 2014!

-Paul Guilfoyle who has played Captain Jim Brass on all 14 seasons of CSI is leaving the show during this season’s finale in May. No word on why he has exited, but it did not sound like it was his decision to leave the show. Also no word on how he will leave the show. The season finale is May 7th. -History has ordered a third season of the hit show Vikings. It has been picked up for a 10 episode third season.  Production for the new season will begin this summer to air in 2015. The season finale for the second season is Thursday May 1. Vikings airs Thursdsays at 10pm ET/PT on History.

-Ryan Murphy has confirmed that the fourth season of American Horror Story will be called American Horror Story: Freak Show and will indeed take place at a carnival. It will be a 13-episode season. -Tessa Ferrer (Leah Murphy on the show) and Gaius Charles (Shane Ross) will not be returning to for new season of Grey’s Anatomy as regulars at least. -Daniel Sharman, who played Isaac, is leaving Teen Wolf. He apparently will not be killed off however, so there could be a chance for him to return in the future.
