-Sarah Silverman is joining season 2 of Masters of Sex in a recurring role. She will play “Helen” but I have no idea the background of Helen. -HBO’s The Comeback starring Lisa Kudrow is coming back to TV. It will be coming back for a six-episode run with production scheduled to begin May 19. -Patricia Arquette will star in the CSI spin-off.  She will star as Avery Ryan, a special agent in charge of the FBI’s Cyber Crime Division. -Lifetime has ordered new episodes of Bring It. The network has ordered 10 episodes that are slated to premiere this summer. It will also air an hour-long bonus episode Bring It! -Starz has ordered two seasons of Seth MacFarlane’s comedy Blunt Talk. The 20-episode pickup will be divided between two seasons of 10 episodes each and will air in 2015. How I Met Your Dad, Cocked, The Killing

-In the How I Met Your Mother spinoff, How I Met Your Dad, Meg Ryan is reportedly taking the role that Bob Saget used to fill–the narrator! -Sam Trammell (best known for his role as Sam Merlotte on True Blood) is set to star in Amazon’s new drama pilot Cocked. -Helena Mattison (666 Park Avenue, Betrayal) will have a recurring gig on Season 2 of ABC’s Mistresses. -Upcoming Bachelorette contestant Eric Hill has died after a paragliding accident. He was apparently already eliminated from the competition when the accident occurred. The newest season is currently filming. Bachelorette creator Mike Feiss said that “we’re going to try be as sensitive as possible” while airing the episodes he’s in. -A&E has ordered a new reality show by Law & Order head honcho Dick Wolf (who will act as executive producer). D.O.A will follow an elite team of detectives who will re-investigate controversial murder cases and will consist of 8 episodes. Game of Thrones, Bates Motel, new Bravo shows, Doctor Who, and more!

TONIGHT ON TV April 8, 2014:

-HBO has renewed Game of Thrones for a fifth and sixth season one day after the fourth season premiere brought in a record breaking 6.6 million viewers which has only been topped by the series finale of The Sopranos in 2007. -A Battlestar Galactica movie is in the work. -Amy Jo Johnson will have a recurring role on the USA Network series Covert Affairs during the upcoming season 5. She will play Hayley, a National Counter Terrorism Center investigator who knows how to stand her ground and will go head-to head with Auggie (Christopher Gorham) when the intelligence community faces a united threat. -Enver Gjokaj will join Rizzoli & Isles for a multi-episode arc. -A&E has picked up Bates Motel for a third season after an impressive start of season 2. The third season will consist of 10 episodes and will begin production this fall. Bates Motel: After Hours, Broad City, Pilot season, and more!

-A&E beginning March 3rd will host a Bates Motel: After Hours show, following the series premiere of Those Who Kill (and 1 hour after Bates Motel season 2 premiere.) A lot of the main characters will be there for the debut installment. -Comedy Central renewed Broad City for a second season. They haven’t announced a premiere date for the second season but the 10 new episodes could debut as early as this fall.
