Twin Peaks, Dallas, and Hollywood Game Night

-Showtime is bringing back Twin Peaks for a new limited series run. Series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost are on board to write and produce all nine episodes of the limited series, while David Lynch will also direct every episode. The series will go into production in 2015 to air in 2016, marking the 25th anniversary of when the program last aired. “Set in the present day, Twin Peaks will continue the lore of the original series, providing long-awaited answers for the series’ passionate fan base.” http://www.thetvaddict.com/2014/10/06/breaking-tv-news-showtime-to-reboot-twin-peaks-as-a-limited-series/

-Hugh Laurie (House M.D.) and Tom Hiddleston (Thor) are set to star in a limited-series adaptation of John le Carre’s 1993 espionage thriller, The Night Manager. BBC will air it in the U.K. and for now, no U.S. network has attached to the series yet but I would not be surprised if it happened soon. The Night Manager centers on Jonathan Pine, a former British soldier turned night auditor for a luxury hotel. Pine meets a French-Arab woman named Sophie, who gives him information on Richard Onslow Roper, a black market dealer who specializes in weapons, to turn over to British intelligence. Sophie’s betrayal to Roper gets her killed, and Pine becomes a spy with intelligence operatives in order to infiltrate Roper’s ring and avenge Sophie’s death. Hiddleston will play Pine and Laurie will play Roper. http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/10/03/tom-hiddleston-hugh-laurie-the-night-manager/
