Stand Up to Cancer’s fourth TV special will air their one hour telecast on Friday, September 5 at 8pm ET/7pm CT and will be available on 30 networks including ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC. There will also be a Canadian broadcast for the first time this year, which will include specific content and will air across the four major Canadian networks CBC, City, CTV, and Global.

-CBS has unveiled their San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Panel Plans. Under the DomeScorpion, and Reign will all be present. Check the link for more details!

-NatGeo has renewed Wicked Tuna for a fourth season which is expected to premiere worldwide in 2015. They have also set a premiere date for the spinoff series Wicked Tuna North Vs. South, which will premiere August 17 at 10pm ET/PT.

Sons of Anarchy has recruited Courtney Love for a pivotal season 7 arc. She will play Ms. Harrsion, “the straight-shooting preschool teacher of Jax’s eldest son, Abel. Look for Love’s educator to take a special interest in Abel–which will spark an interesting reaction from the boy’s mother Wendy.” She will debut her role in episode 4 of the new season which begins this fall.

-Robbie Amell has joined the cast of The Flash for a recurring role. He will play Ronnie Raymond, better known as Firestorm. On the show, he is a maintenance worker at S.T.A.R. Labs and Dr. Caitlin Snow’s fiancé. The Flash premieres Tuesday, October 7 at 9/8c on The CW.

Orphan Black has been officially renewed for a third season. The 10 episode new season will air in 2015 along with the second season of Broadchurch and new series including Tatua and The Last Kingdom on BBC America.

-James Patterson’s best-selling book Maximum Ride is getting its own YouTube series. Digital Studio, a production company with over 700 YouTube channels, is planning an initial batch of six to ten episodes that will run at 10 to 15 minutes each. A final book for the series is scheduled to hit bookshelves in January 2015. And the YouTube series is scheduled for Spring 2015. The company is planning to cast YouTube personalities in major roles, as well.

Glee’s final season will consist of 13 consecutive episodes that will air midseason on Fox. The exact date and time slot have not yet been revealed.

Doctor Who, Sherlock, Community, The View and much more!

Tonight on TV–July 3, 2014:

  • Undateable finale (last three new episode starting at 8:30, NBC)

-Chris Colfer is NOT leaving Glee, the producers of the show confirm. Someone hacked is Twitter apparently and made up the rumor.

Doctor Who is returning to BBC America on Saturday, August 23 at 8pm! The upcoming season premiere marks the first full episode for the Twelfth Doctor. Peter Capaldi will be joined by Jenna Coleman (who plays the companion Clara Oswald) and Samuel Anderson, who joins the cast as Danny Pink, a teacher at Coal Hill School where Clara also works. Sherlock is back for a fourth season which will air in 2015-216. The new season will consist of a special episode, which will begin filming in January 2015, and three normal episodes, which will end production in late 2015 and likely appear in early 2016. Exact dates have yet to be announced.

-Both Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd are leaving The View. In a statement ABC said, “The View will be moving in an exciting new direction next season and ABC has made decisions to evolve the show creatively.” Whoopi Goldberg is the only surviving panelist, since Barbara Walters retired in April.

The Goldbergs is prepping for a John Hughes inspired episode. One of the season 2 epiosde will feature an homage to one of his classic ’80s flicks. Adam F. Goldberg, the creator of the show, said that they are writing it now but he won’t reveal which film is is from yet. He also said it was going to be difficult to shoot and very expensive. The episode will likely air midway through the season so keep your eyes out for that awesome episode!

Community will be returning! Yahoo Screen has ordered a 13-episode 6th season. All current (aka Season 5) series regulars will be back for Season 6. Donald Glover will not be returning.

-Fox has canceled Hieroglyph before its premiere date. Only one episode of the show had been shot, but scripts for several more episodes had been written. It was said that “the series wasn’t creatively coming together the way executives had hoped.”

-NBC picked up The Night Shift for a second season which will consist of 14 episodes. The Night Shifts season-one finale is set to air Tuesday, July 15 at 10pm on NBC.

Once Upon a Time has cast their Anna and Kristoff characters (based off the movie Frozen)! Elizabeth Lail and Scott Michael Foster will play the highly anticipated characters. Georgina Haig has also been cast as Queen Elsa.
